U.S. Shipping
Dimensions: An Aqua-Cycle has a shipping weight
of 275 lbs. and is 230 cubic feet. Each is shipped partially
assembled meaning that we assemble the drive train (pedal
crank to the rear axle) and you attach the wheels, seat
and front fork upon delivery.
U.S. Packaging:
Each Aqua-Cycle is shipped in three units.
- 1) The frame
is a separate piece
- 2) The three
wheels are on one pallet
- 3) The seat
is in a box along with the assembly aparts and instructions.
U.S. Truck Lines:
United States shipping is by truck line and we prefer
to ship via Roadway or SAIA. If you have another
preferred carrier we would be glad to use them, but they
must have pick-up capability in Brownwood, Texas 76801.
Some other freight lines which service Brownwood, Texas
are Yellow, Overnite and Consolidated.
U.S. Shipping
Charges: Shipments are normally sent "Shipping Prepaid"
meaning that you pay for the truck charges with your
order. Special arrangements can be made for collect
and 3rd party billing shipments, but sometimes these
freight costs as charged by the truck lines are higher.
U.S. Freight
Discounts: We have significant discounts with Roadway
and SAIA and that is a big part of why we prefer to
ship with them. If you have a discount with another
line then we will be glad to use them instead.
Point of Origin:
Aqua-Cycles are shipped from our plant in Brownwood,
Texas 76801.
U.S. Tracing:
Most truck lines can track your shipment by computer
as it moves from us to you. All you need to do is call
the carrier's local office and ask them to trace your
shipment. If you need more information such as the "Pro
Bill Number", call us and we will get that for you.
Large Shipments:
Because Aqua-Cycles take up an enormous amount of room
in a truck trailer (they are shipped unassembled and
still take up lots of room) we prefer to break large
shipments into smaller groups of no more than 3 per
shipment and send each smaller shipment two or three
days apart. We will be in touch with you if your order
should be divided into more than one shipment.
Inspection:
You are responsible to properly receive your freight
shipment. You need to inspect each item upon delivery
for missing pieces or damage and note it on the freight
bill before signing for your order. If you sign for
6 pieces and only receive 5 the truck line is under
no obligation to find or pay for the missing piece.
Damaged Freight:
In the very rare instance of freight damage or missing
pieces, the freight company will process your claim.
They will pay for replacement of the missing pieces
and repair or replacement of damaged pieces. YOU must
file the claim with the truck line before the truck
line will do anything - we cannot do that from here.
Ownership:
Based upon Federal regulations concerning freight shipments,
you legally take ownership and possession of your order
at the time the truck line takes possession from us.
We have delivered the shipment to them in good working
order and they are responsible to you for the proper
care and handling of your order.
Help: The
above is not to relieve ourselves from helping if there
is a problem with the freight process. We are available
to assist with a problem, but we can only assist you.
Please call us immediately (right after the truck line
is notified) if you find damage or pieces are missing.
We will check our paperwork for possible errors and
work with you in getting the problem resolved quickly.
Questions:
Call us with any questions about shipping and freight
lines. We have been doing this for 15 years and still
don't know all the answers to shipping questions, but
we will be very glad to find out the answer for you.
